Francesco "Frank" Morrone

Francesco (Frank) Morrone passed away at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at the age of 74 years.  There was a private Mass of Christian Burial held with interment following in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke.

Frank was born in Trenta, Cosenza, Italy on June 9, 1946 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for 55 years.  He was a long-time Canadian Pacific employee and was well respected by employees at all levels of the company.  Frank loved gardening, especially growing tomatoes, and also grew seedlings in the early spring for his neighbours and friends.  He enjoyed mushroom and huckleberry picking as well as fishing.  Frank loved his daily walks, working in the yard, doing concrete work and making wine and sauce with Aurora.  Frank especially enjoyed living in his neighbourhood and had a great fondness for all his neighbours.  Frank’s whole focus in life was his family.  He adored all of his grandchildren equally and loved the time he spent with each of them.

Frank was predeceased by his parents and his sister Rafelina.  He is survived by his loving wife Aurora of Revelstoke; three sons: Sam (Paola) of Revelstoke, Mauro (Koreen) of Revelstoke and John (Genevieve) of Kelowna; seven grandchildren: Arianna, Francesco, Natalia, Livia, Katelyn, Liam and Deken; his brother Giuseppe of Italy; his sister Ornella of Italy as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
