Faye Margaret Stowe, 81, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away July 13, 2026 at Kelowna General Hospital.
Faye was small in stature but had a heart unmatched in size; a woman who touched the life of every person she knew, no matter how briefly. Her entire life was lived on her terms, almost as if she gathered her inspiration from Frank Sinatra to do it her way.
Faye's adventures began as a young woman, fresh out of nursing school, when she decided to attend the Olympics in Mexico City, followed by a six week tour of south America. From there, she settled into a career in nursing, where for 27 years, helped countless people in Williams Lake. Upon leaving nursing, she returned to Winfield and shaped countless more lives working at Honeybear Daycare with her best friend Joan.
Faye is survived by her son, Bradley, and countless individuals who lovingly refer to her as "Auntie Faye." Her wishes were to not have a funeral or celebration of life, but instead for all who were near to gather for a drink in her honor at Woody's Pub in Lake Country, and share stories of her and what she meant to them. This gathering will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at 2 p.m.
