On March 22, 2024, Faye passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital with some of her immediate family by her side.
Faye was born in Calgary, AB and resided in Salmon Arm, BC since 1967. Faye worked for the School District of Salmon Arm for 15 years, proudly retiring as a Special Needs Assistant.
Her hobbies included, maintaining her flower beds, helping her husband in every facet of building or maintaining the yard, walking and caring for the dogs, helping clear the driveway of snow when she was able and taking her children and grandchildren camping and traveling with them to Disneyland, and Yellowstone. Her favourite pastime was camping at the camp sites at a number of Salmon fishing streams and rivers in BC, enjoying fishing, relaxing, or just watching others fish. She’s still the winner of the largest Chinook Salmon landed in our group that fished together; a whopping 42lb caught in the Bella Coola River at Hagensborg BC.
Faye is predeceased by her father Rego and mother Gladys.
Faye will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years Ken Keehn; daughter Cary; son Scott Keehn; granddaughters, Chelsea, and Alicia Conroy; Grandsons Tyde, and Teakren Keehn; brother Dale Busch and sister Lynn Thompson. She will be missed by all her knew her; friends, family, and numerous students, who she mentored, but mostly by her loving husband Ken Keehn, son Scott Keehn and granddaughter Chelsea Conroy and of course her dogs, Golden Retriever Brandy and Black Lab Jean-Luc.
There will be no service at Faye’s request. In lieu of flowers Faye wanted memorial donations to be sent to the Alzheimer’s association.
