Fay was born on July 28, 1960 at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
Fay is predeceased by parents Helen and Walter and Nephew Joshua.
Fay leaves behind an older brother Neil and two nephews Luis and Michael, sister Sally, her husband, Dean, niece Shelley husband James (Carruthers) grand-nephew William grand-niece Eva, niece-in-law Sarah Silano (Joshua Handley) grand-nephew Noah, grand-niece Hannah, Nephew Ryan Handley wife Jess, grand-nephews Jaxson and Fletcher and grand-nieces Alivia, Tatum, Cali and Vivienne.
Fay lived a very meaningful and productive life. She was very active within the community of Salmon Arm.
Fay started school at the age of 4 under the tutelage of Mrs. Simard the school which was held in the basement of the United Church in Salmon Arm. Then Fay moved on to the New Centennial School and later to Hillcrest School.
In the fall of 1977 and spring of 1978 Fay attended Happy Time School in Revelstoke while living with Dean and Sally.
It was in September of 1978 that Fay moved into her forever home at Lynndale Lodge.
Fay worked in the wood working shop of the Sheltered workshop, she became very proficient with the radial alarm saw cutting survey stakes, she was also very good at wielding a paint brush while varnishing the outdoor furniture that was produced in the workshop. Fay also volunteered at the local food bank and at the annual Roots and Blues festival.
Fay had many interests and activities that she enjoyed participating in swimming, bowling, playing her guitar solving her word search puzzles, crocheting, and meeting up with her friends for coffee. Fay loved her sports, hockey and baseball were her favourites to watch.
Two highlights for Fay was visiting Disneyland and seeing her favourite singer Shania Twain and watching her nephew Ryan play baseball.
Fay's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the following individuals and families for their support of Fay during her lifetime:
Harold and Mae Cox Family who were Fay's foster family while she attended school in Salmon Arm, the Gerry and Diane MacPherson Family who opened their heart to Fay when she first moved into Lynndale Lodge. The volunteers and staff at the sheltered workshop that Fay monitored her while she worked.
A very special thank you to Shannon Q, Shannon P, Shauna, Randy, Nora, Sam, Claire, Tanner, Esita, and Cheryl at Lynndale who attended to all of Fays needs.
Interment of Fay's ashes at will occur at later dates at her families plot in the Eagle Valley and District Cemetery at Sicamous.
