Ernest Philip Obituary

With great sadness the family of Ernie Philip "Dancing Bear" announce his passing on October 1st 2023
at the age of 93. Ernie was a much love and respected elder and knowledge keeper of the Little Shuswap
Lake Band. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Yvonne Philip, children Rhonda, Jason and Marla Philip,
grandson Jordan (Erin) Gilmore, great-grandchildren Rory and Greame Gilmore, as well as many other
much loved relatives. Ernie's wake will be held on Friday October 6th at 4pm when Ernie arrives, and the
fire is lit at Adam's Lake Gymnasium in Chase, BC. The service will be held there the following day
beginning at 11 am.
