Erin was born in Kamloops and enjoyed living on the family farm in Salmon Arm.
Despite her complex medical conditions, her passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving an enormous void in the lives of all who knew her.
Erin attended Hillcrest Elementary School for eight years and moved to Salmon Arm Secondary School for the past five years where she was due to graduate this year with an amazing record of achievement.
School provided an amazing opportunity for Erin to explore many different skills and activities. Music was her passion – she also enjoyed gym, cooking class, swimming, visiting the mall and horse riding among others.
Despite Erin’s physical challenges, she always had a smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She brought joy to all who knew her, despite never saying a word. Her life spoke volumes of love and kindness, showing gratitude to all who helped her. Erin brought out the best in all of us.
The family wish to recognize the care that Erin has received from the many doctors, nurses and medical professionals throughout her lifetime. We thank the teachers, CEAs and itinerant staff for their care for Erin.
Our deepest love and gratitude to Marie, who has cared for Erin for the past 13 years. They shared an immense bond of trust and love, for which the family will be forever grateful.
The family are touched by the outpouring of love, prayers and sympathy from all during these difficult times.
We are comforted knowing Erin is resting in God’s care.
Love for Erin will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, Richard and Hazel, brothers Henry and Jack, Marie & Kevin Cross, grandparents Marjorie Bell, Derek & Phoebe Wortley and her many uncles, aunts and cousins. She will be remembered and sadly missed by all who were touched by her life.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 5th 2025, 11:00am at Bowers Funeral Service, Salmon Arm. Burial will follow at Shuswap Memorial Cemetery, after which all are welcome to join the family for refreshments at the Prestige Hotel, Salmon Arm, from 1:00pm– 5:00pm.
