Elsie Wagner (Johnston) passed away on April 8, having achieved over 104 amazing years of life. She was born in 1920 in Vancouver to Alex and Helen Johnston, who had recently immigrated from Scotland. Elsie spent most of her youth living in the remote area of Criss Creek, north of Kamloops. She moved to Salmon Arm at the age of 16. She married Arthur Wagner in 1949 and they resided on North Broadview (30th St. NE) until passing.
Predeceased by husband Arthur, and son, Barrie, she leaves behind son Randy (Wendy), daughter Cindy (Sherwood) Inglis, daughter-in-law Marian, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She holds a special place in the hearts of family and friends far and wide and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at Shuswap Lodge and Bastion Care Home, IH community/palliative care workers, the Hospice Society, and Dr. Willms, for their care in her final days.
A service will be held on May 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the 5th Avenue 50Plus Centre (170 5th Ave. SE) with a reception to follow.
