Betty was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba on July 19, 1928, and passed away peacefully in Revelstoke surrounded by love on December 31, 2025. She spent the majority of her 97 remarkable years in Revelstoke, a place she proudly called home.
Betty was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Peggy; her brother, Ronny; her beloved husband, Lloyd; her granddaughter, Kerry and daughter-in-law, Marsha.
She is survived by her children; Craig Roberts, Julie (Bill) Cosgrave, Jill (Morris) Brown, and Scott (Brenda) Roberts. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Ryan (Kelly) Roberts, Blair Hollingsworth, Hilary (Gray) Adams, Courtney (Jamie) Adam, Whitney (Justin) Campeau, Taylor Roberts, and Drew Roberts, and by her ten great-grandchildren, who fondly knew her as Big Gramma or Great Gramma Betty; Spencer, Mitchell, Logan, Carter, Davis, Mirra, Audrey, Ellery, Claire, and James. Betty is also survived by her brother, Herb (Colleen) Craig, her sister-in-law, Belinda Craig, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Betty will be remembered for her strength, independence, and quiet grace. She took great pride in her family and carried herself with dignity throughout her life. Known for always being impeccably put together, Betty believed in looking her best - never without her lipstick, matching earrings, and a brooch pinned just right. She valued doing things properly and lived her life with resolve, elegance, and care.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Moberly Manor and staff for their compassionate care and for allowing Betty to live independently. Heartfelt thanks are also given to Dr. Batchelor for his exceptional care and kindness over the years, and to the nurses at Queen Victoria Hospital for their compassion and support, not only to Betty, but to her family as well.
At Betty’s request, there will be no formal service. The family will gather this summer in Savona, BC to lay her to rest. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
Betty will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her legacy of love, strength, and grace will live on through generations.
