Elizabeth Iris (Wall) Wiebe

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Iris Wiebe on July 3, 2026. Elizabeth was born in Victoria, BC, to Armin and Iris Wall on March 26, 1956. 

Elizabeth traveled all over Canada and the USA with her family until she met Les Wiebe. Elizabeth and Les were married on August 3, 1974. They had two daughters, Erin and Laura (Chris). 

Elizabeth and Les, along with their daughters, camped extensively from BC to Ontario. In later years, Elizabeth and Les traveled to England, Iceland, Cuba, Mexico, all over the western USA, and across Canada. 

Elizabeth is remembered as a kind, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She would always see the positive side of issues. She had an incredible sense of direction and a visual memory of places and highways. Her grandsons loved making waffles and cookies with her. She loved the outdoors, birds, and flowers. 

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Les; daughters Erin and Laura (Chris); grandsons Zach and Landon Zurbrugg, and Charlie Desserre; brothers Willie (Mary Anne) and Rob; sister Heidi (Bryan); and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. 

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents; her brother Charles (“Chuckie”); her mother- and father-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. 

The family will be forever grateful for the top-quality care she received at Vancouver General, Kelowna General, the Cancer Clinic, and Royal Inland Hospital. Her life ended at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home in Kamloops, with the most caring nurses and doctor. We cannot express enough thanks for the generosity of our immediate neighborhood. 

Elizabeth loved the Lord and was confident about where she was going after death.
