It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleanor Larson, on February 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Eleanor was born in Napanee, Ontario, to Edgar and Helen Bailey on February 25, 1945. She was a cherished and devoted member of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Eleanor was predeceased by her parents; Edgar and Helen Bailey, and her husband of 27 years, Glen. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and kindness, having touched the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many others.
Eleanor is survived by her five children; Arlene Sproat, Richard Bailey, Calvin Bailey, Rae-Lynn Ducharme and Efram Ducharme. She was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and the loving great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, who she adored, Jean Harder. Her family was the cornerstone of her life and she dedicated herself to being a nurturing presence in their lives.
Eleanor’s warmth, wisdom and unwavering support provided a foundation that will continue to guide her family. Whether it was through her gentle words, her caring nature, or her joyful laughter, Eleanor left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Eleanor will be laid to rest at the Mountain View Cemetery in Revelstoke, BC, in the Spring.
