It is with profound joy, love, and gratitude that we remember the life of Doreen (Stewart) DeLacherois, who reached the age of 97.
She dearly loved — and was loved by — her parents, Charles and Laura; her siblings, Ted, Bernice, and Denny; her sons, Charlie (Lisa), Dan (Barb), and Pat (Julie); her daughter, Laureen (Mike); and her grandchildren, Brendan, Laura, Jemma, and Samantha.
Her life and spirit touched so many people through her expressions of compassion, encouragement, and support. She knew that blessings were meant to be shared, and she reached out with courage and love whenever she could—holding a hand, sitting at a bedside, and anonymously supporting those in need.
She was an exceptional woman who achieved many personal successes. She also faced many personal losses, enduring them all with strength and determination. We are deeply grateful for the family, friends, and senior support she received, and her spirit soared.
Her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her, and in her memory, we ask that you find the courage to reach out and touch the life of someone who needs you.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choosing can be made in Doreen’s honour.
Love is the gift of giving and receiving.
