Donna Lynn (Gusé) Madden

Donna passed away on Thursday June 19, 2025, at the Golden & District Hospital. Born February 10, 1952 in Kitchener, Ontario to the late John and Margaret Gusé.

Loving wife of Kevin Madden, mother of Ian (Christine) Cameron, Maple Anne Cameron of Kitchener, and Maxwell Madden of Golden; stepmother to Kevin’s daughter Sarah Madden and step-grandmother to Sarah’s son, Lucius; sister to David (Deborah Peterson) Gusé of Victoria, B.C., and a grandmother to Zachary and Matthew Cameron. She is predeceased by too many and will be remembered fondly by many cousins and friends.

Donna was so much more than some dates, places, and family left behind. She was a smart woman, having obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1984 and Masters in Social Work in 1987, both from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. She lived her life to help others. She was extremely funny and quick-witted, a voracious reader, lover of tap dancing, and didn’t learn of an art or craft she didn’t try and excel at.

While she may no longer be with us, she will live on with the paintings in our homes, the quilts on our beds, and in everyone’s heart.

Thank you to the nurses at the Golden and District Hospital and Dr. Larson-Soles. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
