Our cherished Derek: A Golden local since 2000, Derek's passion for exploring the majestic mountains, river edges, and forest floors will continue to inspire us for eternity. His essence was young and playful. He found wonderment and humour in all the creatures of the natural world.

Derek was a one-of-a-kind ducky, he feasted on literature and was a natural teacher who generously shared his passions and intelligence with his family, friends, and communities. He smiled with his eyes and regularly celebrated other's wins, no matter how big or small.
