Dennis was born in Canton, China, and immigrated to Canada in 1961, to Hay River, Northwest Territories. He graduated from Yellowknife High School and went on to earn a Diploma in Electronic Technology from SAIT in 1967.
Following graduation, Dennis began a 32-year career with AGT (now Telus) in Calgary, where he worked as a Technology Specialist Designer in Network Engineering. In 2001, he retired to the North Shuswap with his wife Ann, of 54 years.
In retirement, Dennis pursued many of his passions, particularly table tennis. He competed in the BC Senior Games for many years, earning numerous medals. Together with Ann, he also volunteered at the Lakeview Community Centre, where they organized carpet bowling, table tennis, and various community events.
Dennis had a deep love for travel, and he and Ann enjoyed visiting many countries around the world.
He is survived by his wife Ann, daughter Nancy (Jeff), son Raymond (Anne), and his grandchildren: Mckenna, Abby, Milo, and Caleb, of whom he was incredibly proud.
In memory, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
