Deborah Leona Munroe (née Sali), 72, of Revelstoke, passed on peacefully May 24th, 2026, at home in the company of her family.
She was born on July 28th, 1953, to Edwin and Isabella Sali in Regina, Saskatchewan and spent most of her life appreciating the scenic beauty of Revelstoke.
She married the love of her life, Kenneth Munroe, on August 24, 1974 and they raised 2 children, Daphne and Megan first in Revelstoke, then Calgary, Medicine Hat, Cranbrook, before returning home.
She worked several jobs in her life, but her passion was on the ice at the curling club, tending to her immaculate home gardens, kayaking with friends, or playing a rousing game of pickleball. She travelled the world with friends and family, making cherished memories in far flung places, and always treasured returning home to her tranquil yard.
Deborah is survived by daughters Daphne Munroe (Marc) and Megan Goodwin (Ryan), chosen son Steven Goosney, grandson Finley Goodwin, siblings, Bruce Sali (Mary) (John Sali and Bryan Sali), Kevin Sali (Lynda) (Kyle Sali and Nicole Sali), Dean (Lori) (Jordan Fraser, Kristin, Jacob, Rebecca) and Reta Guild (Colin) (Chad Foster and Nevada Francoeur).
She was preceded in death by her gregarious husband Ken, parents Edwin and Isabella, and nephew Devon.
The family extends their most heartfelt gratitude to the medical team who provided compassionate care. Our love and thanks to Dr. Farrugia, Dr. Brown, and Nurse Gina, we are indebted to you always.
Memorials or donations may be made to BC Cancer.
