Dawna Lois (Davidson) Snow

Dawna Lois Davidson was born September 23, 1983 in Salmon Arm to Harvey & Linda Davidson. A beautiful healthy girl welcomed by three older siblings.

Dawna spent all her childhood years in Salmon Arm and graduated from Salmon Arm Secondary in 2001.

During her schooling, she demonstrated her love for the visual and performing arts and completed her Grade 8 Royal Conservatory in Piano. She especially enjoyed writing and recording her own songs.

After graduating from high school, she moved to Chertsey, Quebec in 2002 to attend Capernwray Bible School.

The following year, Dawna moved to Vancouver for hairdressing school and then returned to Salmon Arm to work as a hairdresser. Due to her interest in health, Dawna became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in 2012 working at various spas and clinics before starting her own massage therapy business at home. Dawna also enjoyed the outdoors, adventure and travel which included a trip to New Zealand with her sister and a friend.

As an adult, Dawna continued to sing in church choirs and bands that performed at special events.

Dawna met the love of her life, Darrell Snow in 2017 and they were married in 2018. They joyously celebrated the births of Finnlee Mitchell in 2019 and Sienna Dawn in 2022. Dawna's greatest joy was spending time with her family camping and quadding in the back country and enjoying outdoor activities. Darrell, Finnlee and Sienna were her greatest joy in life and her home and family meant everything to her. Sadly, Dawna was diagnosed with cancer in 2022 but fought hard and never gave up hope of beating it. Her incredible strength shone through in the darkest hours of this disease. Thank you to all the relatives and friends and church families who gave so much love, support and prayer.

Dawna was predeceased by her father Harvey Lee Davidson, two sets of grandparents. Tom & Jean Davidson of Salmon Arm, BC and Bill & Lois Leach of Sun River, Montana.

She is survived by her loving husband Darrell Andrew Snow, son Finnlee Mitchell Snow and daughter Sienna Dawn Snow. She is survived by her mother Linda Davidson, mother and father in-law Bev & Mich Snow, one brother Ben (Reisha) Davidson, Salmon Arm, BC, three sisters Sara (David) Squibb, Merced, California, Jan (Jon) Couch, Mara, BC, Stephanie (Colton) Douglas, Enderby, BC. Brother-in-law Jeff Snow (Morgan), Calgary, AB. Six nephews and one niece, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Prayers will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 60 1st St SE, Salmon Arm,  on Friday February 7th at 3:00 pm.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 60 1st St SE, Salmon Arm, BC, on Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow at the Gathering Place at the Evangelical Free Church, 350 - 30th St NE, Salmon Arm.
