It is with fond memories that we shared the passing of (David) Bruce Mitchell on March 17, 2026. Bruce was born April 3, 1940 in Russel, Manitoba. He leaves behind his wife, Joan and his sister Marg. As well as his daughters Kersten and Sharon (Mark), sister, Marg and 5 well-loved grandchildren (Sasha Webber, Eli and Lydia Corrigal, Matthew and Claire Marino).
He and Joan were married in Salmon Arm December 27, 1971. After some other BC adventures, they returned to Salmon Arm in 1974. They built 2 log homes on Sunnybrae-Canoe Point Road and stayed in the area to raise their family and enjoy camping in the area. Bruce worked as a teacher for his beginning career and then real estate appraisal until his retirement in 2006.
Bruce and Joan enjoyed many camping adventures throughout Canada and the US in their truck and camper. Humamilt Lake will always be a favourite camping and camping spot for Bruce.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers you may make a donation to a charity of your choice. If you are able, donating blood in his memory would also mean a lot as he was a proud frequent donor.
