It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charlie at the age of 93. Charlie was born in Benito, Manitoba to John Dunn and Jean Kereluik on November 15, 1931.

Charlie came to Canoe in 1956 where he met his future wife, Donna Schwandt. Charlie and Donna married in 1958 and spent their lives in Canoe, where they raised their 3 children. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing and camping. Charlie spent many years at Trout lake with the family and throughout the Shuswap and Adams Lake. Charlie worked many years in the logging industry as a faller, until his retirement in 1993.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers Lordley, Jorn, and a sister June, as well as his son Robert, and great grand daughter Rylee.

Charlie is survived by his wife Donna of 67 years. His daughters Darlene (Rick) of Canoe, Marie (Bruce) of Salmon Arm. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025 at the Canoe Seniors Hall at 11a.m with Jack Bowers officiating.
