Carol Ann Common passed away in Revelstoke BC, Friday February 20th, 2026 at the age of 73 from advanced Dementia. She will be forever remembered and terribly missed by her loving children Lee Common, (Shannon), Tom Common; her wonderful grandchildren, Solomon Moorhead, Lincoln Common, Lenny Common; her amazing baby sister Judy Hall; her great friend Deb Hall; and many more family and friends that would make this way too long to list. She was loved by so many.
Carol was born and raised in Revelstoke BC on Christmas day in 1952. She had two sisters; Shirley Davis and Judy Hall and they were the best of friends. They helped build their family home at a young age that still stands today. At the age of 20 she met a man who was harassing her and another man who told him to get lost. That man was Robert Phillip Common and 6 months later on June 8th, 1973, they got married. They were married for 38 years before the passing of Robert Common in 2011, and like any marriage there were hard times and there were so many good times. Summers camping with her sisters and family, the many dinner parties, the Christmas parties and Christmas dinners with tonnes of family members coming together all shared under the loving and caring home that Carol help make.
Carol loved to read and eat her M&M's, even though she was diabetic, but she was a bit stubborn and would not give up her M&M's. No way would she do that.
She was curious and funny and liked to tease with the best intentions in mind. Carol was the greatest and sweetest mother, wife, sister, grandma, and friend to ever grace this earth. She was always there to lend a hand, and to care for the skinned knees and the stings of the bees, and to give hugs when hugs were needed and wanted. Her sense of humour was, well, funny. So many shared laughs through the years and not a conversation went by without a laugh. Even after being diagnosed with Dementia up to the day she passed, she was always laughing. Such a strong and amazing person Carol Ann Common was. She is and always will be loved and missed so very deeply.
A celebration of Carols Life will be held at a later date to be announced. If friends and family so desire donations can be made in memory of Carol to the Revelstoke food bank or Revelstoke community foundation.
