It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Booth announces her passing before Christmas. Carol is survived by her husband Don, daughters Kim, Deb and Heather; her grandchildren Allison, Lauren, Kaylie and Zachary; and brother Glenn. Carol was born in North Vancouver, was active in highland dancing, figure skating and Job’s daughters. After graduation, Carol started a career in banking in Vancouver. Carol married fellow banker Steve in 1969 and was widowed in the same year. Carol and Don met at mutual friend’s wedding in Kamloops and were married in November of 1971. While raising three daughters, Carol was a keen curler and a member of the Women’s Hospital Auxiliary in Salmon Arm. Her aptitude for organizing and people skills led her to an almost 30-year career with Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union. The first managers Carol worked for were Arvid Olson and Clair Jordan. Carol adored her grandchildren and took every opportunity to spend time with them, celebrating their milestones and achievements. The family gives special thanks to Drs. Lipsett, Connor, and Breugem for 49 years of excellent health. Additional thanks go to the cardiac units at St. Paul’s Hospital, Victoria Jubilee and Kelowna General Hospital for the last 22 years of exceptional care. Please kindly donate to the Shuswap Hospital Foundation in Carol’s name if desired. A celebration of life will be held for Carol in the summer.
