Arno Heinz Schoenberger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arno Heinz Schoenberger, who passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on May 18th 2026.

Born on October 29th 1932, and raised in Orchowo, Germany, Arno built a life defined by hard work and devotion to those he loved dearly. 

After immigrating and establishing himself in Canada at a young age, he eventually founded Arno Stucco Ltd., where he earned a reputation not only for his work but also for the care and respect he showed his employees. To many, he was more than a businessman, he was a mentor, friend and provider.

Arno had an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting. He was also a talented woodworker who took pride in building furniture and other projects. Whether working on a project, sharing stories, or spending time with his family, he found joy in life's simple moments. 

Above all else, Arno was a gentle and caring man. He was devoted to his family and always willing to help others in need. His kindness, patience, and strength left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He loved his wife's baking and her cooking so very much. His favourite treat was her gooey raisin cinnamon buns. I'm sure he's enjoying one with her right now. 

Arno is survived by his daughter Lynda, his grandson Christopher, his grandson Steven, his granddaughter Tamara, and all others on his wife's side of the family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His grandson Christopher would often ask him, "Grandpa, what would I do without you?" and with a smile, Arno would reply, "Eat small potatoes." It is a simple phrase that now carries a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories.

Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever.
