Archiebal Penute

Archiebal Penute, affectionately known as “Chebong” passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 40 in Golden, British Columbia.

Chebong was born on July 27th, 1984 and raised in Ormoc City, Philippines, where his two children; Archie and Archieska were born.

Early in his career, Chebong worked overseas for over a decade as a skilled seafarer for various cargo ship companies worldwide.

As a devoted father, he sacrificed by being away from his children to provide a comfortable life for them while ensuring their education and well-being. His family supported him by helping to raise his kids while he was away working.

In 2020, he married his wife, Con. Driven by a longing to be closer to his children and to establish a whole family, they moved to Golden, BC. This opportunity gave them unforgettable time together.

Chebong worked at many establishments in Golden, BC where he met several people. He enjoyed his most recent job at PWT and said that he was happy there.

He loved basketball and had a collection of sneakers and playing shoes. He aspired to be an assistant coach for the Golden Secondary School Basketball team.

Chebong’s family, especially his wife; Con, expresses gratitude to those who cared and supported him throughout his life both in Canada and the Philippines. 

He was a great husband to his wife and a father yearning for understanding.

In memory of Archiebal, we will be having visitation on February 2, 2025, Sunday 5:00pm-9:00pm and on February 3, 2025, Monday 1:00pm-5:00pm with funeral service at 3:00pm.
