It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Annita May on March 28, 2025, at Mount Cartier Court.
Annita was born and raised in Revelstoke, BC. She attended Mt. Royal College in Calgary for accounting after high school and returned to Revelstoke to begin her career at Ken Taylor Motors, where she worked until they closed their doors. She then went on to bookkeep for a short time for Nigel Glover at his milk delivery business, and Mark Bolton at Truckars until she retired. She also kept books for Anna Sessa at the Big Eddy Store for a time, while she was working at Speers Construction. She also volunteered for the Humane Society at the animal shelter previously.
Annita enjoyed crafting, sewing, embroidery, and knitting, she was an avid reader and collected many books. She also loved going on walks.
She was predeceased by both of her parents; Florence and Ted May, and niece; Dawn McLaren.
She is survived by sisters; Linda Mackenzie of Calgary, AB and Lorna Biatecki of Revelstoke, BC, nieces; Sharon (Rick) Kuhl, Deborah (Ian) Stewart, April Mannarino and nephew; Brad (Vanessa) Biatecki, as well as great nieces and nephews; Kassandra Mannarino, Mariah Beres, Gage Varga, I.J. and Sashi Stewart, by great-great nieces; Rayne and Paisley, and great-great nephew; Messer.
As per Annita’s wishes no service will be held. In lieu of flowers please considering making a donation to the charity of your choice.
