Annie Weinacker (nee Demeter) passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in Salmon Arm, BC at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband Heinz (d. December 5, 2017) and their only child Roland (d. November 7, 2017), survived by her three granddaughters Rachel (Shae), Sarah & Rebekah (Marcus) and his four great grandchildren Eddie, Alana, Bobbi and William and extended family.
Annie was born and raised in Alberta to Hungarian parents. There she met her husband of 64 years. They decided to make a move to Oakland, California where they started and ran a business for 40 years. Once retired, they moved to Salmon Arm, BC to start their new chapter.
Anne was a wonderful loving woman, who always put God first and told people about Jesus every chance she got. She was a warrior for God and his word. She was Sunday School teacher for 23 years and also babysat many children. She was involved heavily in church and church functions until retirement. She truly loved to minister to others.
A graveside ceremony will be held for Anne at the Mount Ida Cemetery in Salmon Arm, BC on February 19, 2026 at 12:00pm.
