Anne was born in England on December 28, 1939. She was a warm, loving woman who spent most of her adult life in Vancouver and retired to Salmon Arm in 2004. She grew to love her adopted city and was active in the community, spending many hours as a volunteer at Haney Village, and St. John's Anglican Church. Before her retirement Anne was a Daycare Supervisor for 20plus years in Vancouver. Her love of children was obvious.
Anne suffered for several years from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which took a great toll on her ability to be out in the world or walking her dog. On February 6, 2021 she took her last laboured breath. Now she is at peace. Anne will be forever missed by her family and friends who loved her.
A poem that always reminded me of my beloved sister:
With Annie gone,/whose eyes to compare/With the morning sun?/ Not that I did compare,/But I do compare/Now that she's gone. Leonard Cohen, The Spice-Box of Earth 1972
