It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Andrew Davies, aged 60, who left us on August 15, 2025. He was a proud father, loving son, and dedicated friend. Though marked by times of struggle, Andrew lived a rich life. He had many moments of joy, laughter, love, and connection that will continue to live in the memories of those who knew him. He will be remembered as a passionate sports fan and avid gardener. He loved trains, tropical vacations, and time spent with his loved ones outdoors. Andrew was also proud to be a career public servant with the BC Ministry of Forests. Protecting the forests he loved was one of his core principles that he instilled in his daughters at a young age.
He leaves behind a legacy of lessons about the complexity of the human spirit, about strength in the face of adversity, and about the importance of empathy and understanding.
He is survived by his daughters, Marissa (and her fiancé Carter), Megan (and her husband Cody), Melanie (and her partner Ryan) and their mother and his former-spouse and friend, Corinne Davies; his fiancé, Julia Biro; his mother and father, Denise and Gordon Yates; and his aunt and uncle, Barb and Dave Chamberlain; all who cherish the happy memories they shared with him. While we grieve his loss, we find comfort in the moments of light he brought to our lives, and we hold hope that he has now found peace.
A service will be held on September 4th, 2025, at 10 am at Brandon Bowers Funeral Chapel for those that wish to attend where we will gather to celebrate his life and remember the love he shared with us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the BC Mental Health Foundation or a similar organization to help individuals and their families who are battling mental health issues and addiction.
May he rest in peace.
