Andre (Andy) was taken from us suddenly on December 29, 2021. He was born in Montreal, Quebec on March 21, 1937. Andy leaves his wife Dawn Lowry and son Paul, both of Salmon Arm, with a lifetime of loving memories. He is survived by one sister Pauline (late Marcel Vincent) and one brother Pierre (Louise) in Quebec as well as nieces, nephews, Dawn’s family and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother Gaetan (Marie).
Following a 25-year career as a airframe mechanic in the RCAF, Andy lived and worked in Edmonton Alberta for 15 years. His strong work ethics and craftsman skills carried over into his home life as he was always busy with new projects or helping neighbours. One tiny young friend once commented … “Andy can fix anything!”. Andy and Dawn moved to BC in 1994 where they resided in Cedar Heights, Blind Bay. In 2012 they moved to Salmon Arm.
Andy was a sport enthusiast, who enjoyed playing hockey, curling and golf. Over the years he had many friends through participating in those sports.
A Celebration of Life is planned at a later date.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Andy’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
