Al Aho passed away at his home in Revelstoke, BC on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the age of 60. A lifetime resident of Revelstoke, Al was an avid outdoorsman. He loved making new friends throughout his travels and could make great conversation with anyone he met. No matter the occasion, Al made certain that everyone felt included and had a good laugh. He cherished his friendships and most of all, his family. He was a devoted grandpa who relished spending time with his grandchildren.
Al was proud to be a hard worker and rarely sat still. He found joy in hunting with his close friends and his stepson; Tysyn. He loved to find good deals at garage sales and was passionate about exploring map books in order to find new routes for his outdoor adventures. Al loved to go mushroom foraging, berry picking and could often be found fishing in the Arrow Lakes and Lake Revelstoke.
Al is predeceased by his wife; Julie Aho in 2014; his parents; Allan "Big Al" and Laura Aho. He is survived by his stepchildren; Tysyn (Sarah) Olynyk of Revelstoke, Nikki Olynyk of Kamloops, grandchildren; Emma, Sawyer and Peyton, sisters; Sherri (Ken) Caswell, Lisa (Jim) Aho, niece; Lauren and nephew; Brett.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Revelstoke Senior's Centre on March 29th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
