We are sad to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Patricia Mary Moerike (nee Phillips). Our gratitude to the excellent staff at Bastion Place and Dr. Lourens for his many years of exceptional care of our mother. Mom loved her Pioneer Lodge family and had a wonderful life there. Pat was born in Gull Lake Saskatchewan on July 9, 1936. She was predeceased by her parents Andy and Jean Phillips, her darling husband LaVerne  her only sister Beth and son in law Dirk Kiy. She is survived by her 5 children, Laurie Stockford (Dennis), Sandie Lowe (Chris), Gerri Kiy, Kevin Moerike (Mary Ellen), Mark Moerike (Reta). 12 grandchildren, Andrew (Amy), Ryan (Terra), Sean, Kirstie, Spencer, Maiya, Lisa, Curtis, Connor, Lauren, Keegan, Evan; and 2 great-grandchildren, Mason and Kylie. Pat sat on several committees, and her strength and conviction were greatly appreciated. She was a volunteer at the senior's resource centre for 10 years and coordinated meals on wheels. There is a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved Pat. In Lieu of flowers donations will be kindly accepted by Pioneer Lodge. Prayers will take place Sunday evening at 7:00pm and a mass of Christian burial Monday, July 5th at 11:00am, both at St. Joseph's Catholic church.
