Joe Espetveidt
     Joseph Raymond Espetveidt passed away peacefully at Arbor House, Salmon Arm, BC on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the age of 90 years.
     A celebration of life service was held from the Sorrento O.A.P.O. Hall on Wednesday afternoon, June 16th at 2 p.m. with Jack Bowers the funeral celebrant.
   Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Sorrento, with a reception back in the hall, allowing the family and friends to continue sharing memories of Joe.
   Born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan on August 10, 1919, Joe was a veteran of WW 11, having served with the Canadian Army overseas for four years. Following the war, work took him to Northern Alberta and the North West Territories, working in the Transportation industry with operating heavy equipment. This included work in Peace River, Cold Lake and Fort Smith. He is well remembered for his love and dedication with his family, enjoyment of fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
    Predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen on May 9, 1991, his second wife, Signe on March 12, 2009, and daughter, Brenda Plowman on December 2, 2009.
    Joe is survived by his loving family; daughters, Carol (Jim) Dowding of Sorrento, Ria (Al) Plamondon of Boyle, Alberta, sons, Ray (Marilyn) of Peace River, Wade of Sorrento and Dale (Sharla) of Peace River; step children, Ken (Joy) Dickau of Ponoka and Esther (Wayne) Plester of Rimbey, Alta; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; Two brothers, Clifford and Alvin.
    Memorial donations in memory of Joe may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
