Grief Seminar
Sometimes the holidays can be a difficult time, therefore at the end of January, we sponsor our annual one day grief information seminar facilitated by Naomi Silver.

The seminar is held at the Bowers Funeral Home Mountainside Complex on a Saturday, starting at 9:30 am to 12:30 pm with a lunch to follow. For those who may be interested, an optional group grief support session follows in the afternoon. Advance registration is required and handouts will be provided.

Supporting Children Through Change and Loss
Annually, usually in November, we offer a one day workshop designed to be helpful to any adult who cares for a child going through grief due to a loss of any kind (e.g., death, separation, divorce, serious illness, etc.).

Naomi Silver
Parents and other caregivers (grandparents, friends, etc.) are all welcome to attend this practical and informative seminar. Handouts are given. This is not intended for health-care practitioners or those who work with children facing these kinds of difficulties, but if sufficient interest is shown, we will tailor a workshop specifically to meet the need.

The facilitator is Naomi Silver, who has been working with grieving children and their families in our community since 1988.

Road Thru Loss

 

Holiday Remembrance Service
In early December, we welcome the community to our annual Holiday Remembrance Service.

This ceremony uses music, poetry and readings to give you an opportunity to reflect on the loss of someone dear to your heart. You may choose to light a memorial candle, leave a personal note on the Christmas tree or take a keepsake ornament from the tree in memory. The service is at our chapel.
